Mikuni Experience Internship

Description:

For those who would like to experience living/teaching in Japan but do not have a declared major or minor in TESOL at the time of application.

Requirements:

Strong interest in helping students acquire academic English skills.

Preferred: Experience teaching English or prior TESOL coursework.

Costs:

Food and travel expenses. With completion of a college level introductory TESOL course before participation in the program, $10/day. No prior academic TESOL coursework, $25/day.

*Financial flexibility may be offered to students who are not able to fully cover the costs of participating in the program.

Responsibilities:

Design lessons from Mikuni’s curriculum to teach academic English.

Provide support to other classes.

Tutor students individually and in groups.

Participate in school activities.

Complete trainings.

Participate in weekly faculty meetings.

* If staying for summer camp, through the beginning of August
