Testimonials
My experience at Mikuni was amazing. The people were especially wonderful, because they were so kind and welcoming. Things were run very smoothly, and my transition into teaching was well supported. I wish I could’ve stayed longer!
– Erica Bronner, Snow College (Spring 2025)
Mikuni is such a special place! My time here has truly been life changing, and I feel so lucky to have been able to come here and interact with these talented students. They are each incredibly dedicated, kind, and have such sweet spirits. Mikuni International College is a place of temporal and spiritual learning, helping students to learn English, build their faith, and create lasting friendships. Being an intern here has honestly been an answer to my prayers. I will always cherish my time here and the wonderful connections I made with the Mikuni students and staff.
– Debra Roderick, BYU Provo (Spring 2025)
I’ve been involved with Mikuni since 2018 – these are some of the best students I’ve ever taught! They work so hard, and often I feel like I’m learning more from them than they are from me. It’s rewarding to see what they end up doing with their lives and playing a small role in helping them achieve their goals.
– Michaela Tanne (2018-current)
If I had to describe teaching at Mikuni in one word, it would be: fulfilling. The experience supported both my personal and professional growth, giving me a deeper sense of community and helping me look beyond myself. While the immediate benefit was hands-on teaching practice, what truly sets Mikuni apart is its unique environment and learning culture and for that, I’d recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest. I am so grateful for the friendships and fun memories I made there!
– Brenna Rogers, BYU Provo (Spring 2019-Summer 2022)
There are so many great things about teaching at Mikuni. The best thing, of course, is interacting with the students. They’re bright, dedicated, and will change your life forever. I have taught at Mikuni many times, and it is a supportive place to start if you have never taught English before, and a great place to challenge yourself if you have. This is because the staff care deeply about their teachers and are open to new insights. It is a very rewarding experience.
– Sarah Freeman, BYU Provo (Spring 2019-current)
