Have the students color in the shirt and pants, and then glue it onto the bear in the picture. Go over the vocabulary involved (i.e. shirt, pants, and hat). You can have them present their picture to the other students and have the describe their clothes, such as \u201cThis is a red hat.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2311\" src=\"https:\/\/mikuniinternational.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/I-want-my-hat-back-Lesson-12.png\" alt=\"I want my hat back Lesson 12\" width=\"606\" height=\"808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mikuniinternational.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/I-want-my-hat-back-Lesson-12.png 606w, https:\/\/mikuniinternational.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/I-want-my-hat-back-Lesson-12-225x300.png 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 606px) 100vw, 606px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Clothesline-<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a suitcase or basket, put several articles of clothing. Have two students hold a clothesline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select an article of clothing from the suitcase and show it to the students. For example,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you would say the following: \u201cThis is a dress. This dress is pink.\u201d Hang the dress with the clothespins, and then take another item and do the same. Continue in this manner<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for several items. To check for understanding, ask a student to take \u201cThe pink dress\u201d from the clothesline. (Note: If you don\u2019t have clothes, you can use pictures instead).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Games:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Team Racing-<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Divide the class into 2 teams. Line up the 2 teams at one end of the classroom with a pile of old clothes on the floor at the other end. You will shout out an instruction (e.g.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Put on some socks!&#8221;) and one member from each team will race against the other to the pile of clothes, put on the clothing item and run back to their team. The person who gets back first wins a point for his\/her team. At the end, the team with the most points is the winner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Find the Hat!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hide a picture of the Bear\u2019s red hat somewhere in the room. Have the students search to find it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Have You Seen My Hat?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find an object to represent bear\u2019s hat. It could be something in the shape of a triangle or any item that is red. Have the children sit in a circle. Begin by giving one child the item. Explain that the child with the item should turn to the person on his or her right and ask, \u201cHave you seen my hat?\u201d The other child should respond, \u201cNo.\u201d The first child should say, \u201cOkay. Thank you, anyway\u201d and hand the item to the child who said \u201cNo.\u201d Have children continue this routine until you say, \u201cStop.\u201d The child left holding the item when you say \u201cStop\u201d must sit in the center of the circle. At the end of the next round, the child left holding the \u201chat\u201d should take his or her place in the center of the circle, and the process is repeated until all there is only one student left.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Clothes Memory &#8211;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students close their eyes and are tested on what their teacher and classmates are wearing. This can be done with the questions being asked by the teacher, by other teams, or by their partner.
