For example, if there is a sun on the board, all of the students will go around saying \u201cGood morning\u201d to each other. You can also have them shake hands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Goodnight!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Draw or hold up different objects. Have the students say goodnight (or another greeting) to each object.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Act it Out-<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Say a greeting, such as \u201cgood morning,\u201d and have the students act out waking up. (another example: You say, \u201cgoodnight\u201d and have all the students pretend to go to sleep).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Games<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>It\u2019s Time for Bed!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Face away from the classroom, so you cannot see the students. Read the book out loud, and as you read, have the students walk around the room. Randomly stop reading and say, \u201cGoodnight, Moon!\u201d When you say this, all the students should drop down on the ground and pretend to be asleep. Turn around and face the classroom. If you see one of the students moving, they are out. The last student is the winner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Moon Walk-<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Print out or draw pictures of different objects mentioned in the book, such as mittens or mush. Lay them out on the ground in a circle (note: the number of pictures should be around the same number of students). Have the students walk around the path in time to the music, which plays for a duration and then stops. An object is then called out, and the person standing on the picture of this object wins!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Cow Jumping Over the Moon-<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Draw a picture of a moon and place it on the ground. \u00a0Go to each student, and say a greeting to them. If they say the right response back (for example, if you say, \u201cGood Morning,\u201d they should say \u201cGood Morning,\u201d back) \u00a0they get a chance jump over the moon. Have them jump over the moon on the ground. After a while, move the moon farther away from the students.
