The program will give students a chance to live in Kyoto, a former capital of Japan with a rich and lengthy history.

This 12-week program will include Japanese courses administered by Brigham Young University (BYU), but participants do not need to be current BYU students. You can apply through BYU’s Kennedy Center for International Studies here. Students will take Japanese courses in the morning while afternoons and evenings are reserved for study, travel, and exploring Kyoto and other areas of Japan. By taking these BYU Japanese courses, you will earn college credits valid at BYU and transferable to many universities around the US.
