If you still can&#8217;t find the answer to your question please feel free to e-mail one of us <a title=\"Contact Us\" href=\"https:\/\/mikuniinternational.org\/contact-us\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Study Abroad in Japan<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What should I bring with me to Japan?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>After you sign up for the study abroad program we will send you a packing list a few weeks before departure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>What are the dates and prices for the study abroad program?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>All that information is available <a title=\"US High School Japan Study Abroad Program\" href=\"https:\/\/mikuniinternational.org\/us-high-school-study-abroad-program-in-japan\/\">here.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>How are payments made for the Study Abroad program?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Payments can be made 3 ways:\u00a0check payable to IERS (International Education Research Society), direct deposit to IERS&#8217;s account at\u00a0Zions First National Bank, or\u00a0the donate button at the top of this page. This button allows for payment by credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal Accounts (but you don&#8217;t need an account to use it). Further details for payment methods will be sent to you after signing up for the program.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>When are payments due?<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>The payment will be due in full by three\u00a0Wednesdays\u00a0before the starting date (2015&#8217;s program starts June 26, and June 10 is three\u00a0Wednesdays before then)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>What costs are covered by our payments to Mikuni?<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>All housing, food, classes, and travel in Japan (except the travel week) is included in the program&#8217;s costs. You will, however, need to arrange your own flight to Japan and purchase a JR train pass ($390 as of November 29, 2014) and can <strong>only be bought outside<\/strong> of Japan through websites like: <a title=\"Buy a JR Pass\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jrpass.com\/buy_the_japan_rail_pass_online\">http:\/\/www.jrpass.com\/buy_the_japan_rail_pass_online<\/a> or <a title=\"Buy a JR Pass\" href=\"http:\/\/www.japan-rail-pass.com\/jr-pass\">http:\/\/www.japan-rail-pass.com\/jr-pass<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>I graduated last year and have not entered college; can I still go?<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>No, I am sorry. We are only accepting people with 2 years of Japanese study who have just graduated from high school the same year as the program or who are still current high school students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Do you many any exceptions to those guidelines?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Yes. If you were raised speaking Japanese but live in the US, have studied Japanese on your own, or are home schooled, please contact Cameron at <a href=\"mailto:cameron@mikuniinternational.org\">cameron@mikuniinternational.org<\/a> and ask about exceptions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>I&#8217;m a teacher of Japanese and would like to go. Is that possible?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Yes, we have discounted rates if you are also willing to teach courses. Please\u00a0contact Cameron at <a href=\"mailto:cameron@mikuniinternational.org\">cameron@mikuniinternational.org<\/a> and ask about teaching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>What is the housing situation?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Boys and girls will live in separate housing, but Japanese and American students will be in the same houses together.
