Feelings on the Board–
On the board draw a large circle. Then draw two eyes, ears, nose and a smiley mouth. Do the same facial gesture and say “I’m happy! Happy, happy, happy”. Get everyone to chorus “happy” and do the facial expression. Then erase the mouth and draw a sad mouth (and maybe a tear under one eye) and teach “sad”. Do the same for the rest of the emotions.
Finish the Faces-
Print out this worksheet out for all the children. Have them draw different emotions on the faces of the people.
Youtube Clips-
Show the following different Youtube Clips. At the end of each clip, ask how the character was feeling.

Scared: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTcMU3j1Ihg
Emotions–
Before class, buy popsicle sticks and paper plates. Glue the sticks onto the plates before class, then have each student draw different emotions on the paper plates (such as “angry,” “happy,” and “happy”). Read the story again, and have the students put up the mask that corresponds with the emotion in the story.
Games:
Draw The Faces on the Board-
Invite a student up to the front of the class and give him/her
the chalk/marker. Whisper a feelings word (e.g. “angry”) and get him/her to draw the face in the circle. If he/she is having difficulty, show him a picture or flashcard. Invite the class to shout out the answers – the first student with the correct answer can draw the next picture.
Emotion Masks-
Before class, buy popsicle sticks and paper plates. Glue the sticks onto the plates before class, then have each student draw different emotions on the paper plates (such as “angry,” “happy,” and “happy”). After that, describe different situations, such as “My brother ate my cookies,” and have the students put up the mask that depicts the appropriate emotion.
